last day of maturnity leave

Today is Chris’ last day of his two weeks off. The time has gone by so fast, although by last Tuesday he was already bored. Other than challenging the eraser, which seems to actually work on everything, he’s made me laugh until I peed my pants and fixed the breast pump!

Just finished Beckett’s baby announcement from tiny prints.. I think I’m going to like it. Had to make up for Francis never having one. Maybe he’d rather have one of these. Hope to have nursery pix soon.

Baby Time

Today, Beckett turns one week old. This was the first photo made of him right after the delivery. He looks like a specimen being examined in the science lab. That’s about what it felt like having him as well. I guess that’s a traditional hospital birth. It is this first cry that let me know everything I have been anticipating for the last nine months finally has arrived. Science project aside.

Upcoming Exhibit

Learning to Nurse

The annual faculty exhibit at Photoworks will open Sept 9.
The theme is Influences. My print Learning to Nurse is influenced by Bruce Davidson, who often portrays his subject matter during a period of transition. Funny, I will probably just be coming out of labor during the opening. Seems appropriate to exhibit a transitional moment.
